Today I dug out the window greenhouses I splurged on several years ago from Lakeshore. Like most everything else from Lakeshore Learning, they were quite pricey but have held up very well. Not to mention, are pretty darn adorable. Each child gets one and we let them choose what kind of seed they want to plant. This year the choices were sunflowers, marigolds, carrots, and beans. They wrap the seeds up in a wet paper towel and then we hang them in the window. And wait. And watch. Yesterday I weeded out our classroom garden box. So soon we’ll be getting our hands dirty. What a LONGGGGG cold winter. But it’s over now. YAY!
